The Bala Lake Railway is a modern heritage railway opening in 1972. It is built on part of the trackbed of the former standard gauge railway from Ruabon to Barmouth, and runs for 4½ miles alongside Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) from Llanuwchllyn to the outskirts of Bala.

Note: Works plates were changed between locomotives during repairs and consequently they ended their lives with not necessarily the correct ones. Plate 44370 in the collection ended up fitted to Hummy.
