In his description of the Duffield Bank Railway, the owner, Sir Arthur Heywood, mentions the use of cast iron plates in the workshop foundry. This section of 15in gauge plate track is on display in the museum under the tipping wagon from Duffield Bank, which was also used in the foundry.
