From our ticket collection is this 1920s travel and hotel coupon, issued by the Londonderry & Lough Swilly Railway. For the sum of £7 4s 0d, you could get return travel by the railway from Letterkenny to Dunfanaghy Road, connecting bus to Dunfanaghy, and two weeks full board at the Port-na-Blagh Hotel in County Donegal.
Photographs of the hotel show it was a large three storey building, which was demolished a number of years ago and replaced by private apartments. Portnablagh, along with neighbouring Dunfanaghy, is known for its beaches and harbour. It attracts large numbers of tourists every summer, mostly from the rest of Ulster.
