An oil lamp used to illuminate the interior of passenger coaches on the Dinorwic Quarry Railway (Padarn Railway). The lamp would be inserted into a fitting on the roof of the coach. Steps and a handrail were provided on the ends of the coaches for access. Workmen’s trains ran from 1895 to 1947.
